Noni Madueke urges Arsenal to not dwell on Nottingham Forest draw

Arsenal winger Noni Madueke said his side cannot dwell on their missed opportunity at Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners could have taken a decisive step to winning their first Premier League title since 2004 by winning at Forest, having earlier watched Manchester City lose against city rivals United at Old Trafford.
Victory at the City Ground would have moved them nine points clear, albeit temporarily ahead of Aston Villa’s game on Sunday, but Mikel Arteta’s side fluffed their lines and were held to a goalless draw.
Madueke said on the club’s official website: “It’s disappointing to draw, for sure.
“We weren’t clinical enough in front of goal. I think they didn’t have a chance really at all, they didn’t really do anything to our goal.
“We weren’t clinical and we could have won the game, but we take a point and we move on.
“We wanted to win the game, we didn’t achieve that. Disappointing in that sense, but it’s a point we take on the road and we regroup.
“We’ve got an important clash versus Inter in the Champions League, which we’ll go into trying to win.
“There is a long way to go. We know that we’ve been very consistent and we’ll continue to do so.
“We’re in four competitions, so we literally play, recover, play, recover, play. So it’s a lot of games, but that’s the beauty of playing in England.”

While Forest did not have a shot on goal, they were worthy of their point due to hard work and endeavour.
It was a crucial point in their quest of Premier League safety as they reacted well to West Ham’s impressive win at Tottenham.
“It was a different kind of commitment,” Sean Dyche said. “The commitment to win is sometimes the case when you are playing teams not at the top of the table, but then it’s about the commitment to not get beaten and I thought that was on show today.
“Everyone played their part. We did well with their set-pieces. Overall, the hard yards of the game I thought we did well in.
“It continues the work we’re trying to do. Four points out of two Premier League games, it’s a change from what was happening before that so I’m pleased with that.”
